Motorcycle Rallies Harley Davidson

Laughter will probably be just as common as adrenaline rushes in the upcoming Laughlin River Run coming this April 23-27, 2008, as this year's event promises even more fun, enjoyable and mind-racing events and activities in store for everyone.

A sneak peek at the origins of this great event will take us back in 1983, the year of the first ever Laughlin River Run which has gotten its name from the "river run" to Oatman, Arizona, a ghost town that presents re-enacted gun fights, and at the same time is located on historic route 66.

An unfortunate event happened in 2002 when two rival motorcycle clubs had a major clash on the Harrah's Laughlin casino floor. There were guns, knives and other weapons involved which resulted in three deaths and murder charges against nine of the motorcycle clubs' members. But the river run got back on its feet soon enough.

This event which is set in southern Nevada has now grown to become of the largest and most popular motorcycle rallies known in the southwest. The fantastic weather, great events and amusing entertainment all make this a much-anticipated event by many motorcycle riders and enthusiasts.

The many exciting events in the Laughlin River Run will surely send you packing up your things, your leather jacket, helmet and your twisted x boots and dash to Nevada to experience the rush that people are talking about.

Some of the events to watch out for include custom motorcycle building, Ms. River Run contest, poker run, raffle for a new Harley Davidson motorcycle and many other motorcycling races that will leave your jaw hanging. There are also a wide variety of vendors and manufacturers who will satiate your every personal and biker need. Aside from that live music by famous bands will liven up the event even more.

Even though the River Run is enjoyable enough, if you want to take some downtime to recharge yourself, you can go visit the Grand Canyon South Rim, the London Bridge in Lake Havasu, the Hoover Dam or the Death Valley National Park, all of which are just a couple of hours away.

This event although still young and new compared to the other legendary motorcycle rallies has become widely popular for the thrill and excitement it brings to motorcycle riders and aficionados. The summer heat, the rushes of the races and the partying of the people at this river run will make you say that this is indeed the life.
